WHAT ARE SKIN BOOSTERS? Skin Boosters are an injectable treatment that is designed to deliver deep skin hydration. They are made of hyaluronic acid like dermal filler, however, a skin booster is more water based with the ability to spread and encapsulate moisture in the skin. In contrast to fillers, skin boosters stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin within the skin. They also do not contain the cross links which cause dermal fillers to stay in one place. This means that when they are injected into the middle layer (dermis) of the skin they diffuse to create a smooth and hydrated effect, targeting dryness, roughness, and fine lines. Overall the skin tone and texture is noticeably better. WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH SKIN BOOSTERS? Popular areas that can be treated are the face, neck, chest and hands. HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST? Although you will see a difference after your first treatment, skin boosters are designed to be administered initially as 2 treatments (given 2-6 weeks apart) and then maintained as 1 treatment every 6 months.
